Job summary

CDW is seeking an AR Associate Consultant in Vernon Hills, IL to manage accounts receivable processes, including rebills and cash application, and to collaborate with stakeholders to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.

The role requires a finance or accounting background or equivalent AR experience, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. You will support policies, monitor DSO, and participate in process improvements while upholding internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field OR 4 years AR experience.
• Experience supporting B2B finance operations: credit card processing, reconciliations, wire transfers, refunds, cash application.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge of accounts receivable principles, billing, collections, cash application, and credit management.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• ERP systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support collections strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash flow, minimize bad debt, and reduce DSO.
• Ensure timely application of cash and rebills for Customer and/or Partner cases.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and SOX controls.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes and tools/systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Suggest and implement workflow improvements to boost productivity.
• Communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders.
• Engage relevant stakeholders in discussions and decisions.
• Share root cause analysis with upstream/downstream teams.
• Proactively reduce reactive tasks and focus on preventative measures.
• Maintain internal controls and data accuracy.
• Mentor and support junior AR Services team members.
