Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist for an onsite, Mon-Fri 8a-5p role in Fenton, MO. The contract-to-hire position offers a $24-$26 hourly rate with a 90-day transition period.

You will manage vendor invoices, customer accounts, and collections, balancing responsibilities across payables and receivables to keep accurate records. The role requires 5+ years in A/R/A/P or accounting support, proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage, and solid Excel

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in A/R, A/P, collections, bookkeeping, or accounting support.
• Experience with phone collections and discussing outstanding balances with customers.
• Experience using QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software preferred. Training will be provided on the company's system.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Enter and maintain vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and collections.
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor account information.
• Research and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
• Maintain basic Excel spreadsheets and accounting records.
• Work with the accounting team to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Assist with additional accounting responsibilities as needed.
