Job summary

A leading company in the fitness industry is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to join their team. In this role, you will help adults and children improve their swimming skills while ensuring a safe and clean environment at the Aquatics Facilities. Responsibilities include instructing lessons, responding to member inquiries, and promoting Aquatics programs. Ideal candidates are working towards a High School Diploma or GED and possess CPR and Lifeguard Certifications.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, helping adults and children improve their swimming skills. You will teach life skills to young members, evaluate their swimming abilities to assign appropriate swim levels, and help maintain the cleanliness and order of the Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Instruct swimming lessons and conduct Aquatics events.
2. Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
3. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
4. Promote and sell all Aquatics programs and services.

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire).
• Complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hiring.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move around the club for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests regarding Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely lift more than 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in swim lesson instruction or coaching.

Pay

This hourly position offers wages starting at $14.25 and up to $17.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
