We also offer a Swim Instructor in Training role for those who are strong swimmers, can pass a swim assessment, and are interested in becoming trained as a Swim Instructor at the Y.
The Swim Instructor is responsible for providing swimming instruction to individuals of all ages, following the YMCA of the USA Aquatics and Swim Lessons guidelines. The role involves delivering excellent customer service in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes safety and satisfaction, in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
This position reports to the Aquatics Supervisor or Director, who reports to the Senior Director of Aquatics or Senior Aquatics Manager. The incumbent interacts regularly with supervisors, staff, volunteers, and participants.
