Job summary

City of Golden is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to oversee daily operations of the aquatics area and programs in Golden, CO. The role includes staffing, scheduling, lesson programs, and safety management across multiple locations.

Under the Aquatics Supervisor, you will coordinate development, promotion, and evaluation of services while ensuring high-quality customer service and a sanitary environment. The City values safety, training, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding and Lifeguard Instructor certifications required with 3-5 years of lifeguarding, swim lesson instruction, and aquatics programming experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum one year at Pool Manager level experience required.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• RecTrac knowledge and experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily operations of the aquatics area and assigned programs.
• Assist in coordination, development, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services, and resources.
• Plan and administer swim lessons, lifeguard training, and WSI classes.
• Prepare lesson schedules and staffing for instructors to meet class needs.
• Ensure facility safety and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Maintain records and reports for the Aquatics Division.
