Job summary

The City of Golden seeks an Aquatics Coordinator to supervise daily aquatics operations, staff, and programs while ensuring safety and high customer service standards across facilities. You will coordinate swim lessons, lifeguard training, and classes, plan promotions, and manage schedules to meet program goals.

Responsibilities include staffing, maintenance coordination, safety inspections, and records management, with a focus on compliance and quality service for guests and employees.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certifications required with 3–5 years lifeguarding, swim lesson instruction, and aquatics programming experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or related field preferred; combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily aquatics operations and programs.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and pool safety across multiple locations.
• Administer swim lessons, lifeguard training, and Water Safety Instructor classes.
• Develop promotions and marketing materials to raise program participation.
• Prepare instructor work schedules and lifeguard staffing plans.
• Ensure compliance with Emergency Action Plans and certification requirements.
• Maintain records and reports for the Aquatics Division.
• Provide excellent customer service and safety for guests and staff.
