Job summary

EXOS is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Aquatics to help lead our aquatic programs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional service for members. You’ll assist in managing staff, enhancing program operations, and fostering a positive aquatic environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting and supervising lifeguards and instructors, scheduling events, and delivering outstanding customer service. Red Cross certifications are preferred, and a passion for teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in aquatics with 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of teaching progressions for children and adults.
• Current Red Cross certifications: AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety, Lifeguard Instructor.
• Strong communication with diverse populations.
• High attention to detail in administrative tasks.
• Enthusiastic, responsible, and team-oriented with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Aquatics Service Desk Staff.
• Conduct new staff orientation, ongoing training sessions, and performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain schedules for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Service Desk Staff, including coverage for events.
• Support Aquatics Desk staff in organizing administrative processes and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Communicate schedule changes, pool temperature updates, and other key information to members and staff.
• Address and resolve member issues, complaints, and concerns promptly to improve satisfaction.
• Ensure overall efficiency of aquatics programs and recommend improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
