Town of Smyrna Parks Department seeks an Aquatic & Program Coordinator to supervise pool and splash pad operations, train staff, and plan events. You will prepare weekly staff schedules, perform routine pool maintenance, and help coordinate seasonal programs.

The role requires 18+, valid TN driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, AED, and ideally LGI/WSI/AFO certifications or willingness to obtain. Full-time with benefits including paid holidays, PTO, longevity and merit pay, and retirement match.

Formación

• Must have 18+ years of age.
• TN driver’s license required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Experience in public pool operations preferred.
• LGI/WSI/AFO certifications preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day pool and splash pad operations.
• Assign, train, and supervise pool staff; prepare weekly schedules.
• Perform routine pool maintenance and chemical checks.
• Support equipment operation and upkeep of facilities.
• Coordinate camps, events, and departmental programs.
• Assist in development and publicity of athletic events and fees.
