Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks an Aquatics Coordinator to ensure safety of patrons, supervise staff, and maintain pool facilities in compliance with Georgia Health Department standards. Under the Aquatics Director, you will manage schedules, programming, and certifications to deliver high-quality experiences.

The role requires lifeguard certification, CPO, AED/First Aid training within specified timelines, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience/standards.
• Effective problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, and strong organizational skills.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain certification or re-certification and/or by taking CEC’s.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for aquatics staff for all shifts including opening and closing responsibility.
• Development and maintain all aquatic programming and initiatives and create and maintain program calendars and schedules.
• Adhere to and enforce rules and regulations of the YMCA and aquatics department, including maintaining pool’s chemical balance.
