Job summary

C CITY OF FARMINGTON is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Manager to plan, develop, and supervise aquatics programs at Farmington Municipal Pools. Strong leadership and customer-service skills are required to manage staff and programs.

Requirements include a recreation-related four-year degree, Red Cross certifications, and a valid NM driver’s license. The role supports public safety and fitness initiatives within the parks department.

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a recreation-related degree and two years’ aquatic facility management experience.
• Current American Red Cross First Aid, CPR/AED and Lifeguard certifications.
• Knowledge of MAHC, pool chemistry, safety regulations, and aquatic operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement aquatics classes, programs and events.
• Supervise shift supervisors, lifeguards, instructors and coaching staff.
• Coordinate staff and facility usage; ensure safety and customer service.
