Job summary

The Aquatics Coordinator at Bend Park and Recreation District provides leadership and supervision for aquatic programs and facilities, primarily evenings and weekends. In this full-time role you will supervise staff, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality recreation experiences.

You will coordinate with facility teams, manage schedules and training, respond to incidents, and help plan, market, and evaluate aquatic services while maintaining equipment and adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college coursework preferred.
• Two years of related work experience with at least one year in a lead role.
• Starguard Lifeguard certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises aquatic programs and facilities ensuring quality and safety.
• Directs and supports front line aquatic staff.
• Communicates with staff, volunteers, coaches and patrons regarding program information and issues.
• Assists planning, developing, marketing, implementing and evaluating aquatic programs.
• May work as Lifeguard or Swim Instructor as needed.
