Job summary

Shalom Austin is seeking an experienced Aquatics Director to lead the Rochelle and Stanley Ferdman Family Aquatic Center. This full-time, exempt role oversees safety, programming, staffing, and member experience, guiding a team of both full-time and seasonal staff.

You will manage daily operations, scheduling, budgets, and compliance, while fostering a welcoming, high-service environment for members and guests. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred or to be obtained as needed.
• CPO or AFO certification required or obtainable within three months of hire.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the aquatics department operations and staff development.
• Ensure safety protocols, emergency drills, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee daily pool operations, programming, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent member experiences.
• Manage facility maintenance, purchasing, and program pricing.
