Job summary

YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking an experienced aquatics leader to develop and implement high-quality, member-focused aquatic programs. You will supervise staff, ensure safety standards, and foster community partnerships while maintaining program budgets and records.

The role requires a minimum of three years of related experience, CPR/First Aid, and a Certified Pool Operator certification (within 90 days). Associates degree preferred, with a path to lead a dynamic YMCA aquatics team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
• Three (3) years supervisor and/or leadership experience preferred (e.g., head Lifeguard, aquatics coordinator).
• Certified Pool Operator required; preferred before hire or within 90 days of employment.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Develops and expands aquatic programs and maintains community partnerships.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and directs staff and volunteers; monitors performance.
