Job summary

The City of Chandler is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator - Aquatics to lead aquatic programs and coordinate facility operations at the Chandler Aquatics facility. This full-time exempt role reports to the Community Services Department and requires strong customer service, teamwork, and decision-making skills.

Minimum qualifications include a Recreation degree, 3 years in recreation with 1 year supervisory experience, StarGuard Lifeguarding within 90 days, and Starfish Swim Instructor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in recreation services or related field, including 1 year supervisory experience.
• StarGuard Lifeguarding Certification within 90 days of hire or promotion.
• Starfish Swim Instructor Certification and Aquatic Facility Operators (AFO) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aquatic programs and activities.
• Assist in facility operations and safety oversight.
• Provide excellent customer service and supervise staff as needed.
