Job summary

YMCA of Greater Omaha's Westview YMCA in Bennington, NE seeks a part-time Aquatics Manager to oversee safe, engaging pool activities and help members reach their goals. You will supervise staff, schedule classes, maintain health and safety records, support fundraising and outreach, and participate in branch meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience in customer service and/or instruction.
• Demonstrated success leading aquatic-focused or equivalent team.
• Demonstrated leadership, dependability & flexibility in work hours.
• Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause & culture training; Aquatics-specific training including Lifeguard certification, if needed; BLS CPR; First Aid; Emergency Oxygen Administration (provided by YMCA).
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups and pass background check.
• Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Lead staff and volunteers; may include direct supervision.
• Maintain staff records.
• Monitor daily pool operations to comply with safety regulations and maintain pool.
• Create and schedule classes, practices, and events.
• Assist with program statistics and evaluate participation.
• Support marketing and distribution of program information.
• Assist in fundraising activities and special events.
• Compile program statistics and monitor effectiveness.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
