Job summary

YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to lead daily operations, staff development, and program growth with a focus on aquatics and member engagement. You will oversee budgeting, risk management, and partnerships while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, emergency response skills, and a passion for mission-driven service. Expect occasional evenings and weekends to support program needs and events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of supervisory or program leadership experience.
• Ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Develop, market, and evaluate program offerings to meet community needs.
• Manage risk, safety, and compliance including emergency drills and certifications.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecast financial performance.
• Engage with community partners and stakeholders to support program goals.
• Handle administrative duties including payroll, scheduling, and reporting.
