The City of Shawnee seeks an Aquatics Program Manager to oversee municipal pools and splash pads, direct supervisory staff, and ensure safe, high-quality operations. You will manage certifications, plan programs and events, and coordinate maintenance and budgets with the Parks & Recreation team.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Parks and Recreation or related field, 5–7 years of experience, and AFO/CPO certifications, with CPRP or equivalent within 12 months.
The Aquatics Program Manager position oversees the coordination, supervision, and operation of the City's municipal swimming pools and splash pads. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Aquatics & Facilities Maintenance Specialist, Aquatics Director, and the indirect supervision of the entire seasonal aquatic program staff. Additional duties include directing and planning programs and activities, maintaining the aquatics facilities and splash pads, and assisting with Parks & Recreation special events during the off-season. The hiring range for this full-time, exempt position begins at $66,500 (DOQ).

The base schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, regular office hours however, this exempt position will frequently require attendance at activities and events that occur in the morning, evening, and on weekends and holidays as well as overnight seminars and conferences. During pool season, this position follows the normal Monday through Friday office hours as well as additional hours required to maintain operations.
