Job summary

Watermelon Swim in Riverview, FL is seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead day-to-day operations, develop teams, and create exceptional experiences for swimmers and families.

You will interview, hire, train, and onboard staff, schedule instructors, monitor progression, and uphold safety standards. Join a culture of teamwork, celebration, and making a difference as you help save lives every day.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of aquatics experience including swim instruction or operations.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
• Ability to work at least two evenings and one weekend day each week.
• Willingness to travel between Watermelon Swim locations.
• Current Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor certifications (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day swim program operations
• Coach and develop Instructors, Trainers, and Deck Supervisors
• Interview, hire, and onboard new team members
• Create instructor schedules and staffing plans
• Oversee class schedules, progression, and program quality
• Maintain safety standards and certifications
• Collaborate with Site Manager on inventory and supplies
• Build strong relationships with families and deliver outstanding service
