Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of best practices in Aquatic Facility management and programming.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• Current First Aid for Public Safety Personnel certification (Title 22).
• Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator (preferred).
• Ability to navigate the American Red Cross SABA platform.
• Demonstrated strength in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to manage conflicts.
• Must be able to perform duties of a physical nature (standing, lifting, walking, swimming).

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise student workers and part-time staff.
• Assist with scheduling using When to Work software; substitute when needed.
• Weekly timekeeping review; experience with Workday preferred.
• Assess Lifeguard performance through in-service training and drills.
• Identify problems, assess alternatives, render decisions.
• Provide general customer service and cashiering; assist with signage and schedules.
• Assist with set-up, management and coordination of special events and programs.
• Plan and coordinate summer swim lesson programs; teach American Red Cross courses.
