Job summary

Bainbridge-Island-Metro-Park- is seeking an Aquatics Maintenance Manager functioning as the operating engineer for multiple pools. You will supervise maintenance staff, oversee HVAC and aquatic systems, and handle day-to-day pool operations, safety, water quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves project management, coordination with district staff, and responsiveness to emergencies as a first responder.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related electrical, mechanical, or operating engineer experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent maintenance training required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent certification required.
• Must respond on-site within 60 minutes during emergencies and after-hours.
• Candidate must be cleared to use a respirator and pass a fit test.
• Valid WA state driver's license or ability to obtain one within two months.

Responsibilities

• Perform pool and facility maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, and health/safety agencies.
• Research, purchase, receive, store, and expedit pool equipment parts.
• Plan and monitor projects, safety compliance, and facility operations.
• Assist with accident investigations, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Lead maintenance personnel and supervise on-site operations.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage pool budgets and project planning.
• Schedule and coordinate pool operations with supervision staff and customers.
• Ensure compliance with county, state, and federal codes; attend trainings.
