Job summary

Minot Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas under the direction of the Aquatics Director and Aquatics Lead.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old and hold Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire; strong interpersonal skills and composure under pressure are essential to provide a welcoming, safe environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool area.
• Respond to members' needs and resolve service issues.
• Perform chemical testing and maintain safety procedures.
• Maintain records as required by YMCA and health codes.
• Assist in facility cleanliness and daily operations.
