Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to ensure safety and provide excellent member service across indoor and outdoor pools. You will monitor the pool deck, oversee slides, and support aquatics events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

The role requires current StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and BLS CPR/First Aid certifications, ability to swim 300 yards, tread water, and lift up to 20 lbs. 6 months of customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification.
• Ability to swim 300 yards without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Able to retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the pool bottom.
• Capable of bending to lift more than 20 lbs.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience
