Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Green Health and Wellness Center is seeking an Aquatics Instructor to implement all aquatic programs by promoting a friendly, safe, and sanitary environment for natatorium patrons. You will teach learn-to-swim classes, assume lifeguarding duties and implement special programs, with group and private lessons possible.

As part of a well‑structured team, you will design a pool program schedule, offer staff trainings, and stay current with certifications.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• First aid and Red Cross Lifeguard training.
• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification within six months.
• Experience in one aquatic specialty area (e.g., competitive or synchronized swimming).

Responsibilities

• Teach learn-to-swim classes and supervise lifeguard duties.
• Develop pool program schedules with the Center Manager.
• Create in-services and trainings for staff and patrons monthly.
• Lead teaching, lifeguarding and maintenance duties when others are on duty.
• Attend meetings and contribute to program development and safety plans.
