Job summary

The Aquatics Lead at CAMP LURECREST INC will oversee the pool, lakefront lifeguards, boat drivers, and water safety. Training in pool and lakefront certification occurs during staff training, and the role requires finishing high school at least one year prior. The position runs May 24, 2026 to August 15, 2026 and is seasonal.

The incumbent must be able to manage staff, ensure safety, and engage campers throughout the summer, working outdoors and supporting camp programming as needed.

• Must have lifeguard certification and CPR certification that is valid through the summer and a water-front certification or attend waterfront certification class at camp.
• Able to complete job tasks while being attentive to camper experience and overall safety.
• Respond with grace in high-stress siutations
• Willing to perform hands-on tasks as well as teach and invest in campers in a support staff role

• Maintain safety/rules of the pool and lakefront
• Assist with camp program when not at pool
• Lifeguards will be trained with pool and lakefront certification during staff training

Requirements

• At least 2 full years out of high school and have previous lifegaurd experience
• Able to work on your feet, be outside all day, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles in a day
• Signed agreement of CLM Summer Staff Handbook
• Successful completion of CLM Orientation Training

Program staff will operate under the camp guidelines for safety. By living, eating, and serving on‑site, staff will model the values of CLM, as outlined in the Summer Staff Handbook and contract both on and off the job.
