Job summary

Teton County – Jackson, Wyoming seeks a Part-Time Recreation Instructor – Aquatics to lead group and private swim lessons, promote water safety, and deliver high-quality instruction for all ages and abilities.

You will supervise classes, maintain a safe pool environment, follow the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum, and document attendance and progress.

Required certifications include Water Safety Instructor, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver's license; flexible weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Up to 1 year of experience in recreation programs or working with children.
• Preferred: prior swim instruction, lifeguard, or swim coach experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and private swim lessons for participants of all ages and abilities.
• Maintain continuous supervision and enforce pool safety rules and policies.
• Assist with facility setup, equipment management, and cleanliness.
• Keep attendance records and participant progress and communicate with parents or guardians.
• Provide professional communication with residents, visitors, and staff to promote wellness through aquatic programming.
