JCC Denver is seeking an Aquatics Instructor for a part-time role in Denver, CO. You will teach ARC swim levels to all ages, communicating with families and maintaining schedules while ensuring safety and professional conduct.

The position requires evening/weekend hours, CPR/First Aid certifications, and a customer-focused, energetic attitude to promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• CPR certification (Community CPR).
• Standard First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Effectively teach all levels of swim instruction under American Red Cross standards.
• Communicate with parents about class enrollment levels.
• Maintain familiarity with registration process and class schedules.
• Provide ongoing communication with the reception desk.
• Prepare award certificates and course completion items.
• Ensure swimmer safety by enforcing rules and preventative measures.
• Respond quickly to emergencies in water/deck area.
• Be knowledgeable about aquatic programming.
• Display professional appearance and punctuality.
• Keep aquatic area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
