Job summary

Premier Aquatics is seeking an Aquatics Facility Manager to lead operations for two centers, ensuring safety and an engaging guest experience. You will oversee budgets, staff scheduling, lifeguard teams, lessons, and day-to-day activities across both facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma plus certifications (StarGuard and CPO) and a willingness to travel between locations. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; bilingual ability is a plus. Health benefits and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Must obtain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
• Must possess or obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license.

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage facility budget.

COMPENSATION

$27.00 - $30.00/hour

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced individual to join our team as an Aquatics Facility Manager. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of managing and operating two aquatic facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety and creating an enjoyable environment for all patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Create and manage facility budget
• Manage day-to-day operations of the aquatic centers
• Directly manage swim lessons and swim team
• Directly manage lifeguards, swim instructors, and customer service representatives
• Coordinate communication with the City/Municipality and Aquatic Center Partners
• Attend marketing events throughout the city
• Promote year-round activities at the aquatic center and drowning prevention within the community
• Schedule staff and manage payroll for the aquatic centers
• Manage all cleaning and maintenance at the aquatic centers
• Manage inventory for concessions and merchandise
• Keep facility compliant with all City and State requirements
• Ensure the safety of guests, program participants, and team members
• Maintain the aquatic center website
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license or equivalent
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure
• A sense of urgency, comfort with ambiguity, drive for results and ability to remain true to the company’s purpose
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Aquatics industry
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move freely about the office or facilities) for the duration of the workday
• Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
• May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
• May be required to stand for periods of up to 8 hours
