Job summary

YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to lead high-quality, member-focused aquatics programs in the Hixson community. You will recruit, train, and motivate staff, oversee pool facilities, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include directing activities, staffing, maintenance, budget management, and participation in fundraising and leadership team duties. A Bachelor's degree plus CPR/First Aid/lifeguarding/water exercise certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Certified in CPR, First Aid, lifeguarding, and water exercise.
• Proven ability to stimulate program growth through community relations.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Display professionalism, customer service, and YMCA values.
• Flexibility to monitor all aspects of aquatics programming (including time working an occasional evening and weekend).
