The Greater Austin YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to lead all aquatics operations at our Buda center, including programming, safety, staffing, and member satisfaction. You will manage lifeguards, swim instructors, and front-line staff, fostering a culture of safety, service, accountability, and growth.

We value leaders who can recruit, coach, and develop teams, build impactful programs, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2-3 years of leadership experience in aquatics, recreation, or youth development.
• Experience supervising and developing teams.
• Budgeting, payroll administration, and financial management knowledge.
• Strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead all aquatics operations, including programming, safety, staffing, and member satisfaction.
• Hire, coach, and manage direct reports; drive accountability and growth.
• Develop engaging aquatics programs and assess effectiveness with data-driven improvements.
• Recruit and mentor a high-performing team; recognize achievement and address gaps.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and prepare department budgets.
• Ensure safety, certifications, and regulatory standards are up-to-date.
