Greater Austin YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to oversee all aquatics operations at the center, including programming, safety, staffing, and member satisfaction. The role leads swim instructors, lifeguards, and frontline aquatics staff while fostering safety, service, accountability, and growth.

The ideal candidate will develop people, elevate programs, and drive outcomes aligned with the YMCA mission. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience in aquatics, recreation, or youth development.
• Experience supervising and developing teams with a focus on accountability and growth.
• Knowledge of budgeting, payroll administration, and financial management.

Responsabilités

• Lead aquatics programs addressing community needs and member satisfaction.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing aquatics team.
• Oversee safety, staff certifications, scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor program effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements.
• Manage department budget and ensure responsible resource use.
• Engage with members and partners to promote programming and events.
