Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in recreation, physical education, sports management, or related field.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Aquatics leadership with staff supervision and program management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of aquatic safety, swim instruction, and pool operations.
• Ability to build relationships with members, staff, families, and partners.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Current Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong swimming ability and knowledge of stroke mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aquatics programs including swim lessons, recreational swimming, and aquatic fitness classes.
• Evaluate community needs and develop programs to increase participation.
• Promote offerings through outreach and marketing efforts.
• Monitor program performance and participation trends.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, instructors, and staff.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and provide staff development.
• Lead trainings, drills, and certifications; ensure certifications stay current.
