Job summary

The Aquatics Director at the North Suburban YMCA under the YMCA of Greater Boston oversees all aspects of the Aquatics Department, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and caring. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• YMCA Lifeguarding certification; cross over to YMCA certification within six months if Red Cross certified.
• At least two years experience in instruction and management of a wide variety of Aquatics programs and pool maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee aquatic programs reflecting community needs and YMCA standards.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all staff including instructors and lifeguards.
• Provide leadership in safety training and ensure proper certifications on file.
