If you are new to Kenesserie, you will need to create an account in order to complete the New Staff Application. All information is strictly for use relating to your application and will never be shared or sold. We are hiring for all posted positions.
All new staff at Kenesserie Camp must be at least 16 years old before the start of our summer camp program, July 6, 2025 (Or apply as Junior Counsellor if you will be 15 by the start of the summer).
RETURNING STAFF
If you are a returning staff member it is very important that you log in with your email and password from last season and complete the Returning Staff Application. If you do not remember your password there is an option to reset your password.
2024 CITS
If you were a CIT in 2024, create a new account under your name - not your parents' name - and then complete the Returning Staff Application. If you will not be 16 years old by July 6, 2025, you must apply to be a Jr. Counsellor.
High School Co-op Credits
You may be able to use your time working at camp to earn 2 high school coop credits. Past summer staff have met with their coop teacher and made this work. You will still be paid for the weeks.
Restricted Substances
Kenesserie Camp is an alcohol-free, cannabis-free, tobacco-free, and illicit drug-free facility. There will be zero tolerance of these substances at camp. To provide our campers with the highest quality care, our staff must perform at their very best. If you are not able to adhere to this policy, please do not apply to camp.
Mobile phone use is restricted to specific times of the day and specific spaces at camp.
Availability
Successful applicants will be able to work 3 camp sessions in addition to attending required training events. Working 4 or more camp sessions is ideal.
Residential
Unless otherwise stated, all positions require living on-site at Kenesserie Camp during work periods.
Rate of Pay
Refer to our pay grid to determine what your weekly pay rate would be.
How to read the grid:
1. In the first column, find which row represents what your experience level will be this year.
2. Find your age in the grey columns in that row.
3. Look at the column to the right of your age, that represents your weekly pay.
*Aquatics Coordinator receives a $60 weekly pay bump.
*National Lifeguard receives a $30 weekly pay bump (if hired as lifeguard).
For Example: If you are turning 18 this year and it will be your second year working at camp, your weekly rate would be $400.
**The roles of Female Counsellor, Program Specialist - Arts, Program Specialist - Target Range & Low Ropes, Program Coordinator, and Health Care Coordinator have been filled.**
Health Care Coordinator - FILLED
June - August, 16 week position - must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of Standard 1st Aid and CPR, nursing studies an asset.
Aquatics Coordinator May - August, 16 weeks. National Lifeguard certification required - must be at least 18 years old & have 200 hours of guarding experience.
Program Specialists (Environmental Ed, Arts (filled), Target range & Low Ropes (filled))
July - August, number of weeks of work contingent on registration numbers.
Lifeguard July - August, number of weeks of work contingent on registration numbers, must possess current National Lifeguard certification.
Cabin Counsellor
July - August, number of weeks of work contingent on registration numbers.
Junior Counsellor July - August, number of weeks of work contingent on registration numbers.
Kitchen Staff
July - August, number of weeks of work contingent on registration numbers.
Note to parents:
Please let your child complete the application on their own. Part of applying for a job is figuring out how to apply. Encourage them, cheer them on but let them come up with their answers and complete it.
