About the Role

Our client, a vibrant community sports complex situated in Welkom, Free State , is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Aquatics Centre Coordinator. This role is essential for managing the operations of the swimming pools, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well‑maintained environment for all users, from competitive swimmers to casual visitors. The Coordinator will be responsible for lifeguard management, scheduling swimming lessons and water fitness classes, maintaining pool chemistry and safety standards, and overseeing general aquatic facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of aquatic safety regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the aquatic centre, including pools, changing rooms, and associated areas.
• Ensure the highest standards of water quality, cleanliness, and safety are maintained at all times.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of qualified lifeguards and pool attendants.
• Develop, promote, and manage swimming lesson programs, aqua aerobics, and other water-based activities.
