Job summary

The City of Rialto is seeking a Lifeguard Supervisor to oversee lifeguards, water safety instructors, and aquatics programs at our indoor facility. You’ll plan staff schedules, ensure proper coverage, monitor safety procedures, and coordinate special events and daily operations.

Requirements include four years of aquatics program experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and valid California lifeguarding, CPR, first aid, and water safety instructor certifications.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant aquatics program experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• California driver’s license and relevant certifications (lifeguard, CPR, first aid, WSI).
• Knowledge of pool operations, safety rules, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules for staff and ensures proper lifeguard coverage within budget.
• Coordinate and review work for staff; assign tasks and monitor workflow.
• Prepare employee performance evaluations and handle grievances at the first level.
• Establish safety rules and ensure compliance within the facility; monitor patron usage.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
