Job summary

City of Lakewood is seeking a Lifeguard Supervisor to oversee lifeguards and swim instructors, ensure patron safety, and manage facility operations. The role entails coordinating schedules, training, and audits while upholding city policies and safety protocols.

The position requires current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, potential LGI, and preferred AFO/CPO knowledge; expect 30–40 hour weeks with varying shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• One year of lifeguarding experience required.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.
• Lifeguard Instructor Certification (LGI) preferred.
• AFO or CPO certification or strong pool chemistry knowledge is ideal.
• Experience with DigiQuatics and CivicRec software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lifeguards and swim instructors; provide training and audits.
• Ensure patron safety across the pool facility.
• Schedule lifeguards and head guards to staffing standards.
• Maintain pool chemistry and safety logs in DigiQuatics.
• Ensure compliance with city pool rules and policies.
