Howard County Government in North Laurel seeks an Aquatics Operations Supervisor to assist the Center Manager with the North Laurel Community Center, focusing on aquatics programming, health and wellness, and community-based events.

The role requires coordination with staff, contractors, and volunteers, knowledge of pool sanitation and life-safety, and supervisory duties. This essential position includes evenings/weekends and eligibility for AFSCME represented classifications.

Qualificações

• Associate degree and two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Five (5) years of a relevant combination of education and experience in aquatics programs and facility operations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee management and operation of a regional community center with a focus on aquatics.
• Coordinate the aquatics scheduling with Department Program staff and user groups.
• Coordinate with Department staff, contractors, and Bureau of Facilities for maintenance.
• Oversee daily maintenance of the pool and report issues to management.
• Maintain pool sanitation and health codes through chemical readings and filtration.
• Assist with developing marketing strategies for aquatics.
• Ensure safety and security of patrons and staff.
• Prepare and supervise facility for emergency operations and weather events.
