Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society Inc is seeking an Aquatic/Recreation Program Coordinator to actively guard, supervise lifeguard and swim lesson staff, and assist with training and administrative support at the Derry Township Community Center.
The role involves flexible hours, potential evenings, holidays, and weekends, and requires the ability to maintain pool safety, monitor chemistry, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Summer duties vary with facility needs.
The Aquatic/Recreation Program Coordinator is primarily an active, hands‑on aquatics role. The majority of scheduled work hours are spent on the pool deck actively lifeguarding, supervising lifeguard and swim lesson staff on duty, delivering aquatics training, and providing operational and administrative support to the Aquatic Specialist. The coordinator also provides for the overall general health, safety, and enjoyment of aquatic patrons at the Derry Township Community Center; assists in the maintenance of the swimming pools; monitors and records pool chemistry and cleanliness; reports all accidents/incidents promptly and completes required forms; and inspects lifeguard equipment. Hours will be assigned for the position but must remain flexible. May be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends. Summer responsibilities will vary based on facility needs.
PAY: $20.02 per hour
