Job summary

The City of Dallas is looking for an Aquatic Maintenance Trainee to assist with the care and repair of pools, waterparks, and other aquatic facilities to ensure safe operation.

Under supervision, you will help maintain pumps, filtration systems and chemical balance, and perform routine cleaning and inspections to support department goals. A Texas driver’s license is required; prior aquatic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in general aquatic facility maintenance or related trades.
• Must have a Texas Class C driver’s license.
• All education, experience and licenses must be listed in the application.

Responsibilities

• Assist aquatic technicians with repair and maintenance of pumps, motors and pool equipment.
• Clean and maintain aquatic facilities including vacuuming, skimming, and backwashing.
• Perform water chemistry tests to maintain proper balance and clarity.
• Complete inspection checklists, inventories and required documents.
• Make minor repairs and support the team to meet department goals.
