A growing aquarium and aviary service company is seeking a part-time technician to service aquariums and aviaries primarily in nursing homes. The role involves lifting, bending, and heavy physical demands. Candidates should have basic knowledge of hand tools and a willingness to learn. Flexible working hours averaging 10-15 hours per month are available. Ideal candidates possess experience in fish or bird keeping and good communication skills. Driver’s License required.

Our customers look to us to create a very serene and engaging environment for their residents/customers to enjoy. This particular role will primarily be servicing of aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly. Lifting, bending, and heavy physical demands are involved in the position. This is a part-time position. Work is typically done during business hours of 8am to 7pm but is flexible. Hours will vary from month to month but will average around 10-15 hours per month. With the possibility of more.

• Travel in a 150 mile radius from Knoxville, TN will be required using a personal vehicle. (Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving. Hourly Wage is not paid during driving)

• Cities will include:
• Johnson City, TN
• Jefferson City, TN
• Rogersville, TN
• Johnson City, TN
• Rogersville, TN
• Elizabethton, TN
• Pikesville, TN

• Due to work being performed in long term care homes, masking/goggles may be required.

Storing 50# bags of bedding and seed along with 4-5 27 gallon totes of supplies will be required for the job.

• Ability to successfully communicate and contribute in a team oriented environment.
• Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English.
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities.
• Able to travel in your service area radius
• Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required.
• Flexibility is a must!
• High School education is preferred.
• Driver’s License required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10-15 hours per month. With the possibility of more. Weekly workload depends on accounts due for service and location.
