Job summary

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Social Services Specialist.
• Bachelor's degree and four or more years of professional experience in social services, investigations, or audits.
• Team-lead preference for current team members; travel within service area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Unit Supervisor with onboarding and training of new staff in APS policy and field training.
• Assist with case record reviews for team members in training.
• Provide technical assistance with APS programs and systems to Social Services Specialists.
• Serve as liaison between APS Quality Assurance and teams to communicate feedback.
• Manage a caseload with about 25% reduction, focusing on complex protective services cases.
• Provide input on draft policies to division management.
• Give presentations to community organizations and providers about DSDS services and policies.
• Identify unmet needs, assess risks, and implement protective service interventions to improve customer safety.
• Assist with resources and problem-solving during investigations and interventions.
• Assist with court proceedings and/or legal interventions.
• Other duties as assigned.
