Job summary

The Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services, seeks an APS Supervisor to lead a team of APS professionals and support staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and policy. In-state travel is required.

The role directs case intake, investigations, and protective services, with opportunities to engage community partners and manage performance. A bachelor's degree in social work or related field and relevant experience are required, with supervisory

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and 2 years of professional case management/investigation exp.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and direct supervision of subordinate staff. Complete Performance Appraisals, authorize leave, approve time cards, recommend and issue disciplinary action, as appropriate.
Evaluate workflow and formulate process improvement plan. Meet with subordinate staff assisting with identifying necessary modifications and changes to workflow and/or procedures.
Provide technical advice and assistance to staff as required. Ensure appropriate case activities are performed and in compliance with established statutes and policies.
Respond to case participants, DES administration and staff, and general public. Respond to concerns and questions as it relates to cases.
Prepare and complete reports, correspondence and other assignments.
