Department of Family and Protective Services seeks an APS Investigator Specialist I to protect elderly and disabled adults. The role involves interviewing clients and families, determining actions to reduce threats, and providing ongoing services in a challenging, field-focused environment.

New hires with a Master’s in Social Work may receive an automatic salary increase. The job requires travel, strong documentation, and the ability to testify in court when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required for several entry levels.
• Experience in social/human services preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 60% and work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of elderly or disabled adults.
• Provide after-hours services to maintain 24-hour coverage.
• Develop individual service plans and document cases carefully.
• Make home visits and interact with clients and caregivers.
