Summary of Job Duties: This posting will fill several positions in Women's Health, and some may involve reimbursed travel. The APRN/PA will extend patient care and administrative services for the UAMS Women and Infants Service Line (WISL) physicians in outpatient settings. Responsibilities include providing health assessments, diagnosing, implementing treatment plans, performing procedures, prescribing medications, managing health issues independently or with physicians, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification:
• Master’s Degree
• Two (2) years nursing experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License, or PA with State Medical Board
• Current BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days
• Ability to operate typical nursing equipment
• Normal communication sensory requirement
• Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in endocrine or women’s health nursing
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license post-hire

Additional Information:

• Deliver prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum care, and manage complications
• Collaborate with specialists, support labor, assist with deliveries, respond to emergencies
• Conduct newborn assessments, manage neonatal conditions, collaborate with NICU
• Provide family education on breastfeeding, infant care, postpartum mental health
• Engage in telehealth, community outreach, and quality improvement activities
• Contribute to clinical research and educate healthcare professionals
• Perform other duties as assigned
