Job summary

Marshall University’s Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) is seeking an Apprenticeship Specialist to support clients in obtaining training, certifications, apprenticeships, and degrees aligned with their goals. The role is part of the Workforce Development Team and reports to the Apprenticeship Unit Director, with work primarily from South Charleston facilities and some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong program management skills and the ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to cultivate relationships.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support program clients in obtaining training, certifications, apprenticeships, and degrees aligned with career goals.
• Work as part of the Workforce Development Team to plan, customize, and implement skills programs, apprenticeships, and pre-apprenticeships for individuals, schools, and businesses.
• Report to the Apprenticeship Unit Director and operate primarily out of the South Charleston facilities with some travel.
