Job summary

City of St. Louis, SLATE department, seeks an Apprenticeship Outreach Coordinator responsible for outreach, development of apprenticeships, and engagement with employers, USDOL partners, and education providers.

Responsibilities include presenting at conferences, delivering training, producing outreach reports, interpreting state and federal guidance, and building strong relationships with workforce partners to strengthen the City’s apprenticeship ecosystem downtown.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree plus one year of public sector or non-profit supervisory/monitoring experience.
• Experience with apprenticeship programs or journeyman credentials desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary outreach personnel for apprenticeship programs with employers and partners.
• Develops and implements an apprenticeship outreach plan to inform stakeholders of benefits.
• Assists in development of registered and pre-apprenticeship programs in the City of St. Louis.
• Attends statewide/regional meetings and local events to build industry connections.
• Meets with employers to promote apprenticeships and connect with USDOL and partners.
• Maintains records and reports on outreach activities and performance.
