Qualifications

• Successful completion of the journey level Apprenticeship Consultant 2 in-training plan.
• Journey level standing as a result of completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Two years of experience working for or providing technical assistance and consultation services to a registered apprenticeship program.
• Two years of experience including planning, policy analysis, coordination and consultation with a variety of public and private agencies, organizations, and/or levels of government.
• A combination of education, apprenticeship, and experience totaling 6 years; experience substitutes for education at the rate of one year of experience for one year of education.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative and technical services for development and enforcement of complex registered apprenticeship programs.
• Liaise with OSPI, SBCTC, WSATC, colleges, unions, and industry groups to develop programs.
• Establish regional apprenticeship preparation pilot programs.
• Ensure programs have entry into a state registered apprenticeship program.
• Collaborate with WILAC to advise legislature and workforce sectors.
• Develop and maintain field records for sponsors and activities.
• Conduct at least one on-site or virtual consultation per year with each sponsor.
• Educate sponsors on state/federal laws, rules, and WSATC policies.
