Job summary

State of Washington, Division of Labor Standards, seeks an Apprenticeship Consultant 3 to oversee complex registered apprenticeship programs, ensuring alignment with state and federal laws and policies. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the journey level Apprenticeship Consultant 2 in-training plan.
• Journey level standing after completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Two years of experience providing technical assistance and consultation to a registered apprenticeship program.
• Bachelor’s degree or completion of a 4-year registered apprenticeship.
• Two years of experience including planning, policy analysis, coordination and consultation with public and/or private agencies or levels of government.
• A combination of education, apprenticeship, and experience totaling 6 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative and technical services for development and enforcement of apprenticeship programs.
• Liaise with OSPI, SBCTC, WSATC, WILAC and local industry groups to advance training opportunities.
• Develop and maintain records for apprenticeship program sponsors and activities.
• Support on-site, virtual, or in-person consultations with sponsors annually.
• Educate sponsors on laws, rules, and WSATC policies and procedures.
