Job summary

Buckeye Partners is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator in Tampa, FL. You will learn operation and maintenance of terminal, pipeline, marine, and rail assets, handling receipt, storage management, and inventory control of petroleum products.

Responsibilities include assisting with loading racks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and supporting emergency drills and inventory systems while developing mechanical and analytical skills in a fast-paced energy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent analytical skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• On-call availability and willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Train and apply knowledge for maintenance and repair of terminal loading rack and equipment.
• Learn receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products via pipeline, rail, and marine dock.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory directives including applicable authorities.
• Maintain good relationships with terminal customers and respond to inquiries.
• Respond to emergencies after training and participate in drills.
• Operate computer inventory control systems and participate in inventory investigations.
