Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking an Apprentice Technician / Student to learn shop safety, PPE practices, and hands-on repair for construction equipment at our Hope Mills facility. You will work under experienced technicians to perform diagnostics, part ordering, and service documentation.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, learning wiring diagrams and manuals, and assisting with routine repairs.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with basic knowledge gained through schooling or experience.
• Ability to read repair manuals and document repair work orders.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply safety practices and PPE for shop operations.
• Assist with diagnostics, part ordering, and data entry in service systems.
• Use hand and power tools to disassemble/assemble equipment and perform repairs.
• Climb onto/into equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs.
• Assist other technicians with larger equipment repairs.
